FEC

This page describes some work on evaluating application-layer FEC performance on residential links. This includes some work on evaluating the FEC codes included in the OpenFEC project.
Modifications to the OpenFEC performance evaluation tool, eperftool (version 1.2.2), can be found in this patch.

Some performance results of the OpenFEC codes using measurements of packet loss from residential networks are presented in the following paper.
